Triple Lakes Trail Marathon and 40 Miler

We had a wonderful time in the rain and mud at the Triple Lakes Races Saturday. Rain all day long, a great course, top notch race organization and fabulous volunteers. Perfect day to be a runner - or one of our Scream Teamers.

MTC and PBFLR members line up before the start. The lady on the left is Bree, MTC member who will be cheering today, accompanied by Lucas, who is due to start his running career around the first of November!

We found Anita and Jay Finkle just after the first picture was taken. They each ran 100 miles last weekend at Hinson Lake, so this 26.2 will just be a cooldown...

With little fanfare, the gun fires and we're off

Not too easy to get to cheering points on this course, this is around the 10.5 mile point. One of the few parts of the race where the runners had to endure pavement.

MTC speedsters pacing themselves early in the 40 mile race -
Richard Sexton (on left) came in 11th (7:14:40) while Josh Saak (on the right) took 4th (6:18:10).
