Race Report Triple Lakes Trail Marathon and 40 Miler Saturday, October
7, 2006 |
Ricky and Christa are cruising
Christa is moving too fast for the camera to stop
She slows down for a brief chat, still smiling on her first ever trail marathon.
Here come The Professor and Ron at a MUCH slower pace
Bree takes a discarded shirt from Ron - our Scream Teamers were the best.
Frank helps Wendy with those trademark high leg kicks
We should
all hope to grow up looking as good as The Professor. Christa enjoying the roots and leaves and mud around mile 15
Lori and her daughter Allison ran the local Breast Cancer run early in the morning (see the pink medal ribbon) then came to man one of the aid stations. Thanks to these (and all the other) GREAT volunteers!
MTCers Mark Long and Richard Sexton take a quick break at Lori's aid station. They finished seconds apart in 11th and 12th place overall just after 7:14:40. Mark cut over 30 minutes off his time from last year.
Ron and the Professor at Lori's aid station, about 6 miles to go. |
