To the Finish Line - Victory Junction Gang Camp

All Good Things must come to an end - Michael Waltrip heads for
the final turn.

Michael comes across the finish line, that's Pattie Petty waiting for him
as she and Kyle did for every runner. Michael is a great supporter of the
Victory Junction Camp AND a fine runner - he raised $1 Million for
the camp with a sub-4:00 marathon in Las Vegas in January 2005!

Blue Jeans and Multicolored Tights are flying as Dean and Sylvana
are in the home stretch.

The Professor and Sharon make the turn into the Victory Junction Gang
Camp, just past the colorful water tower. After going out to a long lead,
The Professor sat down on the bridge just past Mile 12 and waited for us
so we could finish together.

You can't pick it out in this small picture, but there was a rainbow in the
spray from the water fountain to the left. Good things are happening
in this place.

Last straightaway through the Timken Tunnel

There's even a downhill at the end of the straightaway!

One more turn past Kyle's #45...

...down the short straight...

...past the waiting photographer (Ricky)...

...to the final chip mat...

...and we're done. Kyle (on the left) and Pattie Petty (on the right)
stood at the finish line and greeted EVERY finisher, all the way to the end,
more than 3 hours after the race started. Pure class.
