Myrtle Beach Marathon

RACE MORNING:   

Some of us (Jeff, Ron,.Colleen, Marc) stayed within walking distance at the La Quinta - but it was a cold walk with temps around 30. First we had to teach the last Marathon lesson...how to secure the chip.

What a GREAT surprise - the DONSTER (Don Weinstein) made it down all the way from Cary, NC. On the right, Ron is with Doug White, CEO of Grand Strand Hospital who made his marathon debut here at MBM in 2003. Doug is running the Half this year.

The girls (Colleen, Erin, Bree, Sommer) huddle for warmth. Marc is in his own Zone.

Ron with Bree (his daughter-in-law) and her friend and first time marathoner Sommer. Sommer got the first award, for Fashionable Footwear and Coolest Knee Socks.

On the left, Jeff has joined the group, along with Ricky and Sharon. Ricky and Jeff will run together in an attempt to break 4:00.
