MANHATTAN - Miles 16-20:

The trip up 1st Avenue takes 4 miles. Along the way you get to run with vegetables and look UP to see your high rise fans!

Here we are at miles 17-18, that's the infamous LOLA posing with us on the right.

Carol's friend Chip found her around mile 18! Then my favorite band entertained us - the Squirrels from Hell. As we approached the Willis Avenue Bridge to take us into the Bronx, we got a great pick-me-up from the Canadians!!

The BRONX- Mile 21:

A red carpet greets you as you finish Mile 20 and head into the Bronx. You will spend less than a mile in this borough.

We leave the Bronx on the Madison Avenue bridge. Baseball fans (Carol is one): As you approach the bridge - look to your right at just the correct spot, you can see Yankee Stadium (behind Carol in the picture on the left)!
