Race Report New York City Marathon Sunday, November 5, 2006 |
It's the Greatest Marathon Experience on the Face of the Earth. Here's how we did it this year:
FIRST, a limo to take you
to the start...much more luxurious than the buses. Here Erin

Then you find
a few hundred of you close friends and hang out in the tent with them.
You'll find
other friends there to run with - Harriet, Ron,
and Daniel.
Try to hang
out with Daniel - he always is surrounded by beautiful ladies!
About an hour before start time, queue up and move out to join the crowd on the Verazzano-Narrows bridge
If you are
on the bridge and can see the starting line (balloons in the background)
then it's going
After
the Star Spangled Banner is played, and the cannon fires, you will
head off to the Kinda hard to stop for pictures on the V-Z bridge, you can get run over!
To the runners'
left, it's quite a display. Fireboats salute the runners, the expanse
of Manhattan
Come
