Burke County Sheriff's Deputy Martin Lawing was a world class runner and triathlete until he was paralyzed as a result of being shot during a SWAT raid. Law enforcement agencies from all across NC gathered at McAlpine Greenway to run a 5K, with all proceeds going to the Lawing family.
It was great turnout on a February Friday that brought perfect running weather.
