Trail Marathon Saturday, March 8, 2008 |

We passed by this aid station twice.
Here it's about 10:18 am - they were just as enthusiastic
when we returned many hours later.

This aid station (mile 10.5 out, 19.5 coming back) had OREOS and ORANGE SLICES and other goodies.

Here comes the 2nd place
runner. He's around mile 19, I'm just past 10. Amazing. I kept on
thinking of how much less per hour I'm paying to run the marathon.

A few others in the front of the pack.

Lead female just past mile 18.

Just before mile 12
(going out, 18 coming back) the course goes by a local road. Here I ran across
Ashley Bass, a fellow former Southern Bell/BellSouth employee.
He and his wife Carolyn
are taking care of the grandkids and waiting for their son Bill.

And just around the curve, there's Bill - he was moving along, would go on to run a 3:55.

The aid station between 12 and 13 on the way out was staffed with Prom Queens!
