Operation Red Sleigh
Christmas in July Sleigh Ride - 20, 50, and 75 mile bicycle ride
Seagrove, NC
July 17, 2010

A great ride for a great cause. Here is the website.

We chose the 50 and it was a perfect day. Challenging course, phenomenal aid stations, law enforcement and public safety and other volunteers protecting the entire course.

Chris (FBI) and Jared (CMPD) represented Mecklenburg County Law Enforcement very well. We also saw John (Airport Police) but didn't catch his picture. All three rode the 75 - no Diaper Dash for them.

Ron and Mike had a good day on the roads. Ron spent most of his time taking advantage of Mike's ability to pull his elders up and down the hills!

Ready for the start. About 300 riders participated.

We met Phil early in the ride, he just started biking in March - and is doing great!

Phenomenal aid stations all along the ride. These volunteers are the best!

There are law enforcement officers everywhere on the route, making sure all cyclists are safe. When Ron had a chain jump off, we pulled over to fix it and Trooper Regan pulled up to check on us within one minute.

Mike, Ron, and Phil in the closing miles.

At the finish we were greeted by Princesses of every age! What a wondeful way to end a great ride.
